HEARTSAVER

Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Heartsaver CPR/AED
approx 4.5 hrs
The Heartsaver® CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students adult, child & infant CPR with choking and use of the AED for the adult and child and is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including: security guards, airline personnel, police, firefighters, personal trainers. It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death. We offer a wide variety of options for your CPR training needs.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED
approx 7 hrs
The Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

HEALTHCARE PROVIDER 

BLS for Healthcare Providers
full course approx 4.5 hrs /renewal course approx 3 hrs
BLS for Healthcare Providers Course intended participants: Nurses, Nursing Students, Physicians, Dental professionals, PA’s, Paramedics, Respiratory therapists, Medical assistants, lifeguards, and other healthcare providers who are required to respond to a cardiac arrest in a healthcare environment. Students must participate and pass the written and skills portion of the course to obtain a certification.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support
full course approx 15 hrs/renewal course approx 7hrs

The ACLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support
full course 14 hrs/renewal course approx 8 hrs
The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

 

HEARTCODE blended learning

Blended learning uses online technology not only to supplement but also to transform and improve the learning process. Successful blended learning can reach students with varying learning styles and in different environments. It is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session with an Instructor.

HEARTCODE HEARTSAVER

      • The online portion Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED (approx 4 hrs)is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor
      • The online portion Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (approx 2.5 hrs) is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor
      • Heartcode Heartsaver/ Pediatric Instructor-led hands-on session takes approx 2 hours

 

HEARTCODE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

      • The online portion of HeartCode BLS approx 90-100 minutes to complete, depending on the level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS instructor.
      • HeartCode BLS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approx.  2 hours, 45 minutes or 70 minutes for experienced providers.

 

HEARTCODE ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT

      • The online portion of HeartCode ACLS approx 6.5-7 hrs to complete, depending on the student’s level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS instructor.
      • HeartCode ACLS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approx 5 hours without breaks

 

HEARTCODE PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT

      • The online portion of HeartCode PALS approx 6-9 hrs to complete, depending on the student’s level of experience. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA PALS Instructor.
      • HeartCode PALS Instructor-led hands-on session takes approximately 3-4 hours without breaks.
